One Direction sing Torn again

One Direction sing Torn again

13/12/2010 07:39

Harry Cole took to the fore for One Direction's repeat performance of Torn, the first song they sang together as a band.

The boys, who entered the competition as soloists but who were eventually made into a group, sang the Natalie Imbruglia song while standing on a raised platform, wearing their now trademark boots and baggy jeans.

Louis Walsh praised their "brilliant chemistry" and their harmonies, adding: "We've got five new pop stars."

Dannii Minogue's comments were nearly drowned out by cheers from the crowd, but she managed to utter: "Whatever happens tonight I'm sure you guys can go on and release records."

The crowd were still going wild while Cheryl gave her verdict, but she also managed to raise her voice enough to predict the band would have a "massive future".

The band's mentor Simon Cowell said that although the acts in the final would all have a good future ahead of them, no one should forget that it's still a competition.

He said: "In terms of the competition, in terms of who've worked the hardest, who I think deserves to win, I would love to hear your name read out at the end of the competition because I think you deserve it."
