Matt Cardle has won The X Factor 2010.
The painter and decorator, 27, from Colchester, Essex held his hand over his face when he found out, then promptly hugged his mentor Dannii Minogue.
On his victory, he said: "I just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for voting for me, and congratulations to everyone who got to this stage because I'm so proud.
"I want to thank all the judges, Dannii especially."
Dannii looked absolutely delighted, and said: "Thank you, thank you for every single vote, this man deserves it, he won't let you down."
Matt was the bookies' favourite to win, but he faced stiff competition from Rebecca Ferguson, 24, who came second.
She said: "I'm so happy, so grateful and Matt's amazing. I'm just happy to have got so far."

Matt was presented with a copy of his new single, When We Collide, which clinched his victory, and he went on to sing it for the cheering crowd.
Later on ITV2's The Xtra Factor, Konnie Huq revealed that Matt had received the most public votes in every week of the competition apart from the first one, when he was second to Mary Byrne.
