Enlarge imageLONDON (Reuters) - Rocker Pete Doherty will stand trial in December charged with dangerous driving after a gig this Summer, a court ruled on Thursday.
The 30-year-old Babyshambles singer appeared at Gloucester Crown Court for a plea hearing where he denied driving his Mercedes dangerously after a show at the city's Guildhall on June 11.
Wearing a brown suit with matching hat, Doherty posed for pictures, signed autographs and cuddled and danced with a mystery female companion, the Press Association reported.
The court heard how model Kate Moss's former lover had played a set to around 300 people before driving carelessly on three roads.
Judge William Hart bailed the songwriter to return to court for trial on December 21. The case is expected to last up to three days.

Doherty, who lives in a country house in Durley, near Marlborough, Wiltshire, was charged after officers spotted a car being driven erratically.
He has yet to plead to a charge of being over the legal alcohol limit while at the wheel.
At an earlier hearing, he admitted two drugs possession charges and driving with no licence or insurance, all relating to the same incident.
