Bridges stalked pal to study for alien role
Oscar winner Jeff Bridges prepared to play an alien in hit 1980s film Starman by stalking a friend he thought could be from outer space.The movie star insists on researching his roles and admits he was a little lost when it came to studying to play Starman in the 1984 John Carpenter film.He tells Men's Journal magazine, "I started going through my phone book thinking, 'Which of my friends would I not be surprised to find out was an alien? Then I just followed the dude around."He was a dancer and had dyed his hair platinum blond... He definitely could have been from another planet. He was far out."
