Stallone to front russian vodka campaign

Hollywood tough guy Sylvester Stallone has signed on to promote a brand of Russian vodka.

The Rambo star is teaming up with vodka producer Synergy to promote its Russian Ice range of alcohol in a one-year deal rumoured to be worth $1 million (GBP500,000).

Stallone - whose great-grandmother, Rosa Rabinovich, hailed from the Ukraine - will advertise the drink with the slogan: "There is a bit of Russian in all of us."

A statement from Synergy bosses reads: "The advertising campaign concept was based on the fact that the actor has Russian roots." (MT/WNWR/LR)
