Black's back-up plan

Funnyman Jack Black is so concerned his movie career may run dry - he keeps his old bedroom ready in case he falls on hard times.

The Kung Fu Panda star struggled to make a name for himself in showbusiness, relying on his mother's hospitality so he could pursue his career as an actor.

And despite commanding millions to star in films, he always has a place at his parents just to be safe.

He says, "I started working in movies in 1991 and did nine years of treading water with small parts, going back and living at my mum's house rather than getting a real job.

"But once I got High Fidelity in 2000, things got pretty good. I don't live at my mom's any more - she still keeps my room ready, just in case. (MJ/ANML/ZN)
