Though known worldwide as the finest presenter of the Academy Awards, Billy Crystal has had the most interesting path to fame. He was babysat by Billie Holiday, he won a college baseball scholarship, he learned film from Martin Scorsese, he was a teacher, a stand-up comedian, and a star on Saturday Night Live before he found filmic success with the likes of City Slickers and When Harry Met Sally.
