Chantelle was planted in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2006 and had to convince the celebrity housemates she was a celebrity in order to stay.

Her cover story was that she was a member of a fictional band called Kandy Floss and she managed to fool her housemates into believing she was a genuine star after they ranked her the ninth most famous housemate in a task on Day 4.

Chantelle was allowed to stay and struck up a close friendship with Ordinary Boys singer, Preston – who had a girlfriend at the time – leaving viewers gripped by their will-they-won’t-they relationship.

She went on to win the show with 56.4 per cent of the final vote and won £25,000.

Chantelle and Preston got together soon after the show had finished, and married seven months later. But they announced they were splitting less than a year after that and are now divorced, although Chantelle claims to have loved Preston with every bone in her body. The glamour model has since had a number of high profile flings including with footballer Jermain Defoe and Big Brother 9 contestant Dale.

Chantelle went on to have her own post Big Brother show called Chantelle: Living The Dream and presented her own dating show called Chantelle’s Dream Dates, in which she gave girls a makeover ready to go on a date with one of three male contestants.

She has appeared in a string of reality TV shows, published her own autobiography Living The Dream, which was a best seller in 2006, and has written several columns in magazines.

Chantelle has also opened her own clothing boutique in Great Yarmouth.
