Scouser Rachel has already had a minor taste of fame when she made it to the final 50 of Pop Idol in 2002, which she claims has been the best experience of her life so far.

She wants to do Big Brother for “the experience, and to meet new people”.

Despite a jet-setting job as part of a cabin crew, she is not exactly well-travelled. Her furthest destination has been Morocco – but she only stayed for 25 minutes.

Rachel says she has dabbled with a few religions – she became a born-again Christian, had a spell as a Jehovah’s Witness and flirted with Paganism. Now she has concluded there is just one big master God.
