Scherzinger wins dancing with the stars

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has been crowned the winner of this year's (10) Dancing With The Stars.

Scherzinger saw off competition from American figure skater Evan Lysacek and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews during the show's finale on Tuesday night (25May10).

Andrews came third in the competition after gaining the least amount of votes, leaving the singer and her dance partner Derek Hough to battle it out with Lysacek for the title.

After dancing the jive, Scherzinger scored a perfect 30, with judge Len Goodman saying, "There can only be one winner of Dancing With the Stars. It should be you."

After being named the champion, Scherzinger appeared lost for words, while her professional partner Hough said, "Everyone's been amazing and I'm so happy!"

Other celebrities who took part in the tenth season of the show include reality TV star Kate Gosselin, Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson, comic Niecy Nash, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Shannen Doherty.
