Rihanna refuses to rule out brown reunion

R&B singer Rihanna will never rule out rekindling her romance with abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown - because "love never goes away".

The 21-year-old star was left battered and bruised after a fight in February (09), which resulted in the Kiss Kiss hitmaker pleading guilty to hitting her.

The couple reunited just weeks after the attack, but Rihanna broke off the romance for good after vacationing with Brown in Miami, Florida earlier this year (09).

He has since been slapped with a restraining order banning him from going near Rihanna for the duration of his five year probation period, but she refuses to rule out reconciling with Brown sometime in the future.

Asked whether she would ever consider going back to Brown during a U.S. TV interview with newswoman Diane Sawyer, she says, "I can't answer that question right now because you never know what the future holds.

"He was my best friend, we were in love, we spent two years of our lives in a relationship so... it just takes time. Love doesn't go away."

Rihanna insists she can't see herself reconnecting with Brown romantically, and confesses her continued love for him is proving to be "annoying" - but she's confident he can change his violent ways.

She adds, "I don't have a desire at all to be with him. I don't see how we could get back together, but I also know you can't predict the future. It's actually kind of annoying that there's actually some emotion there.

"I definitely think it's possible to change, (but) it depends if you want to."
