Sarah Beeny - Biography

In a nutshell

Sarah came to light before the property slump when everybody thought doing up your house and spending more than you could afford was a brilliant idea. Her first show, Property Ladder, hit Channel 4 and was a huge success. It worked a little something like this:

Sarah: You shouldn't build a wall there, it'd be a mistake. I'd build one over there.

Developer: Let me think about this. No, I'm sticking to my plan, thanks anyway.

Sarah: Okay.

Sarah is married to her business partner and, although she doesn't look like it, she's the mother of three children! When does she get time to see them in between all of the hard-hat wearing, building site-visiting stuff?

Houses aren't her only 'thing', though. She's in charge of a popular website for single people. Basically, if you're single you get your mate to write a profile about you in an honest and frank way, and then you get dates. Or at least that's the idea. As we've never used it we don't really know, do you?

Sarah pops up regularly on Absolute Radio's breakfast show, being a good friend of the presenter Christian O'Connell. She's also been a guest on Gordon Ramsey's The F Word where she offered up her garden for his sheep. And as far as we know that isn't a euphemism for anything sinister....
