In a nutshell

Pammy! Pammy Pammy Pammy. We love the girl. And most men around the world probably had a 'soft' spot for her at some point in their lives too, not least when she used to pour herself into a bright orange, skin-tight swimsuit to rescue blind dogs and the like in TV's 'Baywatch'.

Born Pamela Denise Anderson, our favourite showbiz lifeguard worked as a fitness instructor in Vancouver where she moved from her childhood home of Comox. And it's a Canadian Football team we probably have mostly to thank for getting Pamela into the spotlight. She went to see a match with some friends, aged 21, and was spotted on camera wearing a Labatt's t-shirt. They had some sense to offer her a modelling contract and the magic started there.

She soon moved to Los Angeles and graced the cover of Playboy magazine which is one of the major reasons she became a household name. Which is funny really as we're sure average households don't usually read Playboy.

Spotted by David Hasselhoff (I wonder what he was most interested in?) meant Pammy scored a role in the worldwide smash show, 'Baywatch'. Although not an actor in any way, Pammy was great at slow-motion running and that, my friends, is more than good enough for us.

Having such great assets meant Pamela had the attention of many men. She married Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee, after knowing him for just 96 hours and, before their divorce in 1998, had two sons.

In 2002 Pammy revealed that she'd caught the Hepatitis C virus from him, and jokingly suggested she only had 10 to 15 years to live. At least we hope it was a joke.

Pamela is a huge supporter of animal rights and has been involved in several high-profile campaigns for PETA and the American Liver Foundation.

Did you know?

Pam's infamous honeymoon sex video leaked onto the internet. After suing the company distributing it, Pammy ended up releasing it officially and it turned into a nice little earner.
