Mary-Kate and Ashley are twins from America. They're not really very famous over here and sometimes crop up in celebrity magazines if The Cheeky Girls aren't doing much that week.
They started off their 'acting' career as babies in a series called 'Full House' before deciding to cash in on their All-American Twin image by merchandising themselves.
The girls were massive in the teenage market, appearing in various teen shows and continuing to sell their range of perfume, clothes, books and posters.
The dream wasn't working out entirely perfectly when it was announced in 2004 that Mary-Kate was entering rehab to recover from the condition anorexia nervosa.
