Lee Pace - Biography

In a nutshell

You might be wondering who Lee Pace actually is. He's not an ex-Big Brother housemate, he hasn't chucked eggs over the Prime Minister, and he's not even one half of Hale and Pace. He is, in fact, a Golden Glove-nominated actor from across the pond.

Lee started his career on stage in several off-Broadway plays including 'Small Tragedy' for which he was nominated as Best Actor at the Lucille Lortel awards. It's no TV Quick award, we know, but probably pretty good anyway.

Lee's first major role was as Calpernia Addams in the 2003 film Soldier's Girl. We haven't seen it ourselves but Lee plays a transgender woman dating an army soldier. Sounds like that one doesn't have a happy ending if you ask us.

Lee's most famous role here in the UK is probably in Pushing Daisies, the show brought to these shores by ITV. Starring as Ned alongside our very own Anna Friel. The show centres around Ned who's a pie-maker with a special talent ? he can bring dead things back to life simply by touching them. Initially popular, it was announced that the show won't be continuing past its second series.
