All about this star

In a nutshell

The original reason that we know Kris Marshall is because he starred in the sitcom 'My Family' on BBC One. Lets just say it wasn't our favourite sitcom in the world. Hang on, make that the universe. Kris played Nick Harper, an annoying son who had a permanent annoying grin on his face. In a word? Annoying.

Somebody in the world of advertising obviously saw the potential which everybody else had missed and Kris was signed to become the face of BT in a series of commercials where, quite possibly, we were supposed to care about the ups and downs of the fake family.

Kris wisely quit My Family in 2003 but managed two return cameos in series 5 and again for a Comic Relief special.

In 2008 Kris performed in Neil LaBute's brilliant stage comedy Fat Pig at London's Trafalgar Studios.

Kris hit the headlines in early 2008 when he was hit by a car, suffering head injuries. At the time Kris was enjoying a night out in Bristol and, despite the bad end to the night, he made a speedy recovery in hospital and got straight back to work.

Did you know?

Kris claims a card from Aston Villa, his favourite football club, helped him after his accident.
