In a nutshell

She's still, she's still, she's still, she's still... Jenny from the block. Our lovely J-Lo (that's the naff nickname she used to be known as for a while) starting singing and dancing from the age of 19 in lessons she paid for herself.

After auditioning in New York for dozens of dancing roles Jen was finally picked to appear in numerous rap videos and as a back-up dancer for New Kids On The Block (notice they've finally climbed back out of the woodwork).

With so many people trying to make it big, you've got to have something special to break through. And although we're not massive J-Lo fans, you have to take your hat off to the girl.

She's now a movie star having appeared in Money Train, The Cell, Out Of Sight and The Wedding Planner.

Her success in the charts kicked off in 1999 with her first album, On The 6 and was swiftly followed up by Waiting For Tonight (the video to the single was great ? J-Lo in some trees with green lasers. It doesn't get better!). That album actually featured a duet with a bloke called Marc Anthony who ended up being her husband.

When you're as famous as J-Lo it's showbiz law that you have to release a fragrance for chavs all over the world to buy and she did it well ? Glow by Jennifer Lopez is one of the biggest sellers around.

When it comes to relationships, J-Lo is ? how should we say ? no stranger to them. In no particular order, she's been in a relationship with the following men: Ojani Noa (her first marriage), Sean Combs (you may recognise the name, he's Puddy Daddy Diddy do-do wotsit), Cris Judd (a former back-up dancer and that marriage didn't last long either) and next up was actor Ben Affleck. The pair had somewhat of a media circus relationship, even being dubbed 'Beniffer'. Their wedding was called off just hours before it was due to happen and that, as they say, is that.
