All about this star

In a nutshell

We can almost hear the voices in the Birmingham now. 'Ooooh, she's done alright for herself hasn't she!?!!'. That's right, Cat is best described as a genuine 'girl done good'. And she's doing even better now she's traded in the gloomy UK for a slice of the Hollywood pie.

Cat decided to start her career from a young age and after entering a competition on 'The Clothes Show' (wow, that's a blast from the past eh?) she was spotted by Storm models and started work. She didn't quit education, though, despite it being encouraged. She stayed on and, alongside her GCSEs, grabbed four A-Levels too.

She first hit our screens as a presenter on MTV, usually alongside her pal Edith Bowman ? they probably weren't as glam back then. In fact they were probably screeching and being annoying, but it was MTV after all.

Of course, when a presenter moves from MTV they either hit the big time or vanish into a depressing spiral of adverts and/or local radio. Cat took the high road and managed to bag plaenty of high-profile presenting jobs.

She doesn't want to boast but Cat's presenting CV is pretty darn impressive. Record of the Year, Fame Academy, SMTV, CDUK, The Brit Awards, American Idol Extra and many, many more.

She's now working her socks off over in the USA and they're absolutely loving her. She currently presents 'So You Think You Can Dance'.

Although we wanted her to, Cat didn't actually date SMTV co-host Declan Donnelly, and generally didn't flaunt her boyfriends in the papers. Well done Cat! As far as we know she's currently in a relationship with actor Jack Hudson.

No, we don't know who he is either.

Now, if you've been missing Cat since she was cruely snatched away from our screens by those TV-watching Americans then please, relax. She's recently hit our screens as the presenter of the UK version of So You Think You Can Dance, showing on BBC One.

Did you know?

When Cat presented the 2004 Brit Awards she entered the stage straddling a giant (and we mean GIANT) bottle of champagne. Pop!
