Brad Pitt - Biography

In a nutshell

Despite the fact that he's getting on a bit, we all know Brad Pitt. He's the Hollywood movie-star who has a gorgeous grin and seems to be really lucky picking his roles ? with the odd exception like 'Ocean's Thirteen', obviously.

Born in a place called Shawnee in the USA, the young Pitt decided that University wasn't for him and he jumped ship over to LA to pursue his dream of being in films.

Like any actor struggling to get work, Brad had in-between jobs like being a delivery driver or dressing up as a fried-chicken mascot. All good, honest stuff if you ask us.

His first major role was in 'Thelma & Louise' in which he played JD. His acting was probably alright ? although it was more the shirtless/cowboy hat combo which really caught our attention.

Brad went on to build a major film career with Kalifornia, Legends of the Fall, Twelve Monkeys and Fight Club ranking as some of our favourites.

It's more recently Brad's personal life which has really caught the attention of the gutter press (ie, us). He first met Jennifer Aniston (yeah, Rachel from 'Friends') in 1998 and they ended up getting married in 2000. Everyone was really happy for them, and they looked like the perfect couple, and all of that, until ? in what seemed to us like an overnight thing ? they were filing for divorce in 2005. The scandal came when Brad filmed 'Mr & Mrs Smith' with Angelina Jolie. The pair hit it off while filming and, although he and Jennifer Aniston had already split up by that point, some clever-clogs in the press came up with the term 'Brangelina'. Genius. It was then drawn out like some sort of battle between Aniston and Jolie over Brad. We so didn't play along.

Oh alright, maybe a little.
