More and more over-55s are picking up controllers, tapping on tablets and embracing gaming. In fact, gaming is now a fast-growing trend among older adults, offering connection, joy, and even cognitive benefits.

The gaming scene is changing, and older gamers are leading the charge. Statista research indicates that 41% of adults aged 55-64 now enjoy gaming, a 64% increase over the last decade. That’s nearly half of this age group getting stuck into puzzles, quests, races and more. At TalkTalk, we’ve seen this shift first hand. Gaming broadband demand is growing across our network, so, we asked 1,000 gamers from this group to tell us what they love about gaming - how long they’ve been at it, why they do it, and how it’s shaping their everyday lives.
