Visit here for TalkTalk's guide on all types of broadband, including full fibre and fast broadband, to find the best plan for your needs.
What type of broadband do I need?
Think of your internet connection like a pipe delivering data to your devices. Old dial-up was like a tiny straw, but broadband is a huge pipe, letting data flow quickly. At TalkTalk, we offer a variety of broadband technologies, including full fibre, which we're rolling out nationwide. Don't worry if it hasn't reached your area yet - we have plenty of other great options. This guide explains the different types of broadband and what they mean for your home. Availability varies by location.
Full Fibre Broadband
Full Fibre, or FTTP (Fibre to the premises), uses a 100% fibre optic connection straight to your home. Fibre optic cables use light to send data to deliver our fastest speeds. This technology is currently being rolled out across the UK.
Full Fibre is the UK's fastest Broadband technology - we offer average speeds up to 944Mb/s
Great for busy homes, families, gamers and remote workers
Choose from Full Fibre 65, 150, 500, or 900

More Reasons to choose full fibre
You can do more on more devices at home than ever before with full fibre broadband - our most reliable connection ever. Full Fibre uses light to move more data faster and is less impacted by things like weather and distance.
Part Fibre Broadband
Part Fibre, or FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet), uses a mixture of traditional copper lines and fibre optic cables to deliver internet to your home. Fibre optic cables carry broadband from your supplier to a cabinet on your street. From there, copper cables deliver the data to your home.
Fast speeds - we offer average speeds up to 67Mb/s
Great for everyone's favourite online activities including streaming movies, TV shows and using the web.
