How to switch broadband provider
- Check your postcode online
Enter your postcode into our Broadband Availability Checker to find out what fibre broadband deals are available to you. Weâll also ask you to select your address and how long youâve lived there.
- Compare broadband deals
Once youâve added your details, weâll show you what fibre broadband packages are available in your area. Compare our broadband deals and select the one that suits you.
- Complete your online journey
After selecting your deal, pick any add-ons and complete the basket journey to sign up for Fibre Broadband.
How long does it take to switch broadband?
Switching to TalkTalk takes about two weeks. This depends on whether you already have a fibre broadband line installed.
Existing line: If you donât need a new line, youâll be ready to go within two weeks of placing the order. Weâll send you a new router in the post before your services are up and running
New line: An engineer visit is required if you need a new line installed. The switch will depend on when the visit will occur. You can login to âMy Accountâ or check your welcome pack to seethe engineerâs availability
Switching broadband is usually a smooth process that should cause little interruption. Full Fibre broadband is a little different, as an engineer will trace a new fibre optic line all the way to your home, so you don't need to rely on ancient copper cables.
