Dominic Littlewood

"The truth is that Brits don't like complaining."

Born in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on March 29, 1965. At the age of 10, he was diagnosed as having Type 1 diabetes - he's subsequently worked with diabetes charities. He worked as the manager of an electrical shop in Essex before becoming a car salesman, setting up his own business during the 1980s - he credits working on 99 per cent commission for honing his selling skills. The job also led to his big TV break when in 2002 he was asked to coach a vicar in the art of becoming a second-hand car salesman for the Channel 4 series Faking It.

Soon after his TV debut, Littlewood became a full-time presenter working on shows such as Right Car, Wrong Car, To Buy Or Not to Buy, Beat the Burglar and Holiday. In 2006, he even got his own series, Don't Get Done, Get Dom, in which he advised members of the public on the best ways to get a good deal. In 2007, he competed in the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing, and continues to be in demand on TV, fronting series including Cowboy Builders, Saints and Scroungers and Dom's on the Case. He is also a regular on The One Show.
