Dr Gemma Symmonds and Dr Damian Howard reflect on Heythrop College's 400-year history of training priests and laity for ministry. The London institution was founded by Jesuits in Louvain, Belgium, in 1614, and withstood the surpression of the Society in Continental Europe to become one of England's oldest colleges - albeit with origins beyond British shores. The pair also look at the theme of harvest by celebrating the tradition of prayerfulness - a hallmark of Jesuit spirituality. Includes music from youth chamber choir Inner Voices, directed by Ralph Allwood. Show less▲
