Getting to St Martin De Belleville

If your ski holiday is all about time on the slopes the sleeper train to the Alps is for you. Forget hanging around airports and long transfers - travel over night and gain an extra day on the slopes.
We took the 5.30pm Eurostar from London on Saturday afternoon (via the St Pancras' Champagne Bar), hopped on the sleeper train in Paris and woke up the next morning to find ourselves deep in the heart of the Alps, winding between villages along the valley floor, snow capped mountains towering above us.
By 11am we had arrived in St Martin de Belleville, strapped on our skis and were heading up the mountain ready for a full day’s ski. The rest of our chalet mates who drove or came by plane got an hour’s skiing in that day if they were lucky. Ten points to the train.
