For the ultimate mountain high speed experience the husky sledging tour is a must.
Having never been husky sledging before to see a pack of 40 dogs all barking fiercely can make you a tad wary however I soon came to realize the dogs are harmless and only barking with anticipation at knowing they are soon to be chasing through the mountains.

The huskies ready to run
Once you are given the safety run down by the guide/dog breeder you set off leading your own team of Alaskan huskies on an expedition into the wonders of the Scandinavian mountains. We travelled through a silent and untouched landscape, home to herds of moose and reindeer. The pack of seven or eight friendly Alaskan Huskies may pull hard but never tire and the open stretches only seem to make them more eager and pull the sledge even faster.

Running through the snow
Your guide (who will be at the front of the pack) leads you to a small hunting lodge in the depths of the mountain. The warm lodge, complete with roaring log fire and nothing but the sounds of the majestic outdoors, changes the tone and the dogs calmly relax outside while you take a break to put your feet up for 10 minutes. Although the activity requires concentration throughout and some level of skill on balance and weight distribution it would suit any age and fitness level.

One of the 6 husky puppies
So to take a taste of the real scenery of the ºre mountains, the wild anticipation from your trusty pack of born-to-run husky dogs and the peaceful serenity of your surroundings book the 2 hour or day husky tour. Also don’t miss a sneaky peek at the newborn husky puppies who reach new levels of cuteness but are soon to be part of the pack in no time.
