Upper Teasdale, Durham
5 miles, 2-3 hours

Where does it go?
It takes in lovely views in the North Pennines. Stroll through rolling meadows divided by dry stone walls, grazed by cattle and sheep and dotted with isolated farms.

What will I see?
Limestone outcrops, an old lead mine, and the Langdon Beck Hotel, where you could stop for refreshment. There are glimpses of the Tees river below, with the fells of the High Pennines behind. You follow Langdon Beck along the Pennine Way to the Tees, then pass through more meadows to arrive back where you started.
