When to go

• Mauritius: December - April is warmest (lower 80sF / 28C) but tends to be wetter, May - October is cooler and drier (middle-to-upper 70sF / 24-26C). 
• Maldives: between December and April, during the dry season. Warm year round with highs of mid-80sF (30C).
• Mozambique: June to October is the dry season. June, July and August are Mozambique's coolest months although temperatures reach over 30°C by day. September and October are dry, with warmer daytime temperatures, cools down at night.
• Seychelles: Warm all year round. May - October is the dry season but can be windy with rough seas. The rest of the year is rainy season with frequent showers and higher humidity.
• Zanzibar: Best time to visit is the dry season from December to February and June to October. The rainy season is between mid-March to the end of May.

Don't be put off by the rainy season - although there might be showers these generally don't last long and the temperature stays warm. This is when you can get the best deals, there are fewer tourists and more availability.
