After a while, it’s easy for the typical Windows Desktop to descend into a hilarious parody of organisation with so many program and folder shortcuts it’s almost impossible to find anything quickly.Tidying icons away into folders or onto the Program menu can help but too often they end up buried again and just as difficult to get at as before. Fences is a free program made by Stardock that can sort out the clutter.Use it to create discreet areas on the Desktop and then drop icons into them, tidying up programs, projects, folders and more.Note that Fences requires the latest version of Microsoft’s .Net. If this free software isn’t already installed on the PC, download it from the Fences download page and follow the instructions during Fences’ installation to get it.
