Date: 30-06-2009

CDs and DVDs are surprisingly tolerant of abuse, but there comes a time when your music, games, applications or movie discs simply won’t play at all. This might be due to dirt, general wear and tear over time or perhaps a scratch. Obviously, a bit of dust can be blown off but for more significant marking, or even gouges, you’ll need take more care or else risk further, perhaps even irreparable, damage which will render your disc useless. The good news is, though, that with a little care and attention an unplayable disc can often be made readable once more. So, if you’ve got a disc that your player refuses to spin, follow our Workshop for a guide to repairing minor glitches.
