Although the internet is a fantastic research tool, it’s really easy to get carried away, amassing dozens of bookmarks for pages that relate to a particular subject. However, these bookmarks may not be that well labelled. Some people solve this problem by using a bookmark manager, others with a sticky notes program. In this Workshop we’ll look at a tool that combines some of the best features of both, allowing you to ‘clip’ a section of text from a website while capturing the address of the page at the same time. The descriptive text makes it easy to remember what the page is about and the web link makes it easy to jump back there. It’s a free Windows program called Quotepad and here’s how it works.
