Author: Computeractive Staff
Date: 02-04-2009

If your computer has a CD or DVD writer, you should be able to create discs without the need for any extra software. Windows XP, for example, has built-in support for CD burning and the latest version of Windows Vista can burn both CDs and DVDs directly.Copying files to a CD using Windows XP is a case of dragging and dropping the files you want onto the disc. It’s even possible to create an audio CD from music stored on your PC using the software built into Windows. If you need more options, you should consider a dedicated disc-burning application or suite. However, if all you require are the basics, then Windows XP’s burning tools are easy to master.Follow the steps below to ensure your PC is set up for disc burning, and then create data and music CDs.
