Firm claims improved storage and search of documents
Online collaboration firm Glasscubes announced today that it has added folders to its workspace software to allow individuals or teams to organise multiple documents more effectively.
The firm explained that users can now create folders to move files to or from any workspace or folder, move multiple files, and manage files using labels within folders. The system can host as many folders as necessary.
Glasscubes said that combining this functionality with its existing labels indexing system means it can now offer users the best management of documents possible.
Wayne Pope, managing director of the firm, said that the new update had been designed to enhance usability by leveraging users’ familiarity with folders on PC and Mac desktop clients.
"Even though many users realise folders are not as effective as labels, they understand them and are very familiar with them. This gives them an easy-to-understand way of organising things rather than using labels," he said.
Glasscubes is designed to help small to medium sized firms increase productivity by allowing workers to collaborate on systems such as branded intranet, document management, project management and simple customer relationship management systems.
