With already several hundred thousand pre-orders in the bag, plus sales estimated at anywhere between 4 and 7 million in the gadget's first year and 4 in 10 people saying they would ditch their laptop for a tablet PC, Apple can be proud of producing yet another must-have device with ready-made cult following to go. The holy tablet has a 9.7-inch touch screen, and can run most of the 100,000-plus apps, games and entertainment that have made the iPhone so popular. It is a typically sleek Apple creation at a half-inch thick and 1.5 pounds, with WiFi and claims 10 hours of battery life. On the downside, it does not have a camera for video chat, it cannot run more than one app at a time, and it cannot view popular video sites which use Adobe's Flash software.
