An attractive sea slug whose bright orange body colour and purple spots serve to indicate its unpleasant taste to potential predators. Intolerant of cold waters and restricted to SW Britain and Ireland. Mostly in fairly deep water but moves inshore in summer to spawn and sometimes trapped in rock pools at very low tide.
