An intriguing marine annelid worm that lives in tube constructed of sand and mud particles glued together by mucus. These tubes stand proud of the substrate in which they are embedded; found in large colonies on beaches at low tide. When immersed, radiating gills appear allowing the animal to filter feed and breathe.
