A small native cockroach. Mainly ground-dwelling and easy to overlook in scrub, grassland and woodland habitats it favours. Body dark grey-brown except for pale translucent margin to pronotum and forewing. Adults seen during summer months and fly in warm weather. Found only in S England but locally common there.
