Height up to 65cm

Aromatic perennial of saltmarshes and sea walls. Locally common around coasts of S and E Britain; scarce or absent elsewhere. Stems woody, downy-white. Pinnate leaves downy on both sides. Yellow flower heads in leafy spikes appear August­October.
