Flower spike up to 15cm tall

Distinctive perennial, widespread in W Britain and Ireland. Leaves are rounded and fleshy, with a depressed centre above leaf stalk. Spikes of whitish flowers appear June­August. Grows on walls and stony banks, often in partial shade.
