Height up to 50cm

Locally common perennial of saltmarshes, coastal walls and cliffs, and mountains inland. Has kidney-shaped basal leaves but arrow-shaped upper ones clasping the dark stem. White flowers are 8­10mm across; appear April­October. Seed pods round.
