Height up to 20cm

Creeping perennial of upland moors. Locally common in N England and Scotland; scarce in N Wales and N Ireland. Stems lack prickles. Plant has up to three leaves, each with 5­7 lobes. Solitary white flowers June­August. Mature berry is orange.
