Bristly Oxtongue

Branched, bristly-stemmed perennial of dry, disturbed ground. Locally common in S Britain only. Narrow, clasping leaves covered with swollen-based bristles and pale spots. Pale yellow flower heads, 20­25mm across, are borne in clusters, June­October.
