Height up to 30cm

An often trailing, downy annual of dry, sandy places. Locally common in England and Wales but scarce elsewhere. Leaves comprise 5­13 pairs of leaflets. Red-veined, creamy flowers appear May­August. Ripe pods arranged like a bird's foot.
