Another strange-looking fish with flattened, tadpole-like appearance and rather pointed snout. Body colour usually reddish. Has two bluish, eye-like markings on back of head behind true eyes. Lives on rocky coasts, often in shallow water. Clings to rocks using sucker formed by modified pelvic fins. Commonest in SW.
