triple nose-leaf bat
One of many threatened bats in Africa, Triaenops persicus is found scattered along much of the coastal regions of East Africa and faces threats from disturbance of the caves in which it breeds. Tourism development, resulting in disturbance to coral caves which the bats inhabit, is a particular problem.
