The mother of a toddler who was killed when a car mounted a pavement and crashed into them has died in hospital, police said.
Jackie Bloomer, 30, and her 18-month-old son Jayden were hit by a green Range Rover on Water Street in Accrington, Lancashire, on Tuesday.
Her little boy and the driver of the car, 89-year-old Ernest Wray, both died in the crash.
It is thought the pensioner fell ill at the wheel, causing him to lose control.
Nursery nurse Mrs Bloomer had been walking to pick up her six-year-old son Declan from school, Lancashire Police said.
She was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital following the crash, and was later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital.
Her husband Chris kept a vigil at her bedside at the hospital, where she died at 8.10pm on Friday night.
Officers said her family volunteered her organs for donation so that she can help others after her death.
