Search: Missing chef
Specialist search and rescue dogs are being used by police looking for missing university chef Claudia Lawrence.
Police fear Miss Lawrence, 35, who has been missing for more than a week, may have come to harm after meeting someone she knew.
She was last seen on March 18 close to her home in Heworth, York, after she finished work at the University of York's Goodricke College and was dropped off by a colleague.
North Yorkshire Police said six civilian search teams from around the region had been drafted in to support police as efforts continue to locate the popular chef.
Searches are due to begin on land near The Retreat at the University of York, a police spokeswoman said.
On Wednesday, Det Supt Ray Galloway leading the search for Miss Lawrence, said it was "extremely rare" for someone to be abducted from the street by a stranger.
It was initially feared Miss Lawrence had been abducted during the three-mile walk from her Heworth home to Goodricke College on the Thursday morning, the day after she was last seen by someone.
But Mr Galloway said she did not appear on any CCTV footage from Thursday morning along her normal route to work.
The detective said it was possible she had met up with someone the night before she disappeared.

Mr Galloway said: "Seven days on I am extremely concerned. My professional judgment is that Claudia has probably come to harm."
