WHISTLER (Reuters) - Even if she fails to come anywhere close to the Olympic medals, Canadian biathlete Rosanna Crawford will compete with a ring of success at the Vancouver Games.
The Canmore skier's sister Chandra won a surprise cross-country gold in Turin four years ago wearing a ring handed down from her grandmother.
In Whistler, the first-time Olympian -- who featured in a nude "Bold Beautiful Biathlon" calendar with team mates last year to raise funds to go racing -- will have it on a chain round her neck as well.
"This is my grandmother's ring and after she passed away, she gave it to my aunt and my aunt gave it to Chandra in 2006 to wear when she won her gold medal," the 21-year-old told Reuters as she held it up for inspection on Tuesday.

"I wore it for my trial races to make the Olympic teams and I will be wearing it for my Olympic races. Chandra and I will just have to pass it back and forth."
Fortunately for the sisters, their races are on different days.
