Anthony Charles Lynton Blair was born in Edinburgh on 6th May 1953.
Tony Blair came from a comfortable middle-class family and he attended Fettes, the private boarding school Harry Potter's hogworts school is meant to have been based on.
He then went on to attend Oxford university to study law.
After graduating he went to become a pupil of Derry Irvine: whom Blair went on to make Britain's first Lord Chancellor.
