The highest court in the land has joined Twitter.
The Supreme Court has allowed tweeting from its courtrooms since February 2011, but the court has now sent out its own tweet for the first time.
It has joined the microblogging site "as a further way of keeping interested parties updated on the court's work".
Followers will be notified of the outcome of judgments and other selected news.
The move was described in a statement as being part of the court's "commitment to making its proceedings as accessible as possible".
Brief updates will be sent from @UKSupremeCourt.
To launch the new service, it was tweeting live coverage of the swearing-in of new justice Lord Reed.
The court's full policy on its use of Twitter is available at www.supremecourt.gov.uk/twitter-policy.html.
